Techwr-l (now TechWhirl) has been helping technical communicators network and interact for over 18 years, and since 1999 has been a good resource of technical communication information on the Internet.  While there are a few specialized job search websites for technical communicators, none of them really seemed, well, they’re not places that we would want to either post a job or post our resume.  We receive a lot of inquiries from companies who want to post on our email discussion group every week, so after a while it occurred to us that a job board may be a good next step.

We want more than to have  another “job board” but rather to provide an open market for job seekers and job listers to get together.  No jobs unfilled; no employees without an employer.  In addition to providing the market, it’s our intention to provide only articles and resources to help tech recruiters and the recruited be better at that voodoo that they do.  We have a number of initiatives in the works which will continue to build out our Tech Writer \ Tech Comm community.
