Full-Time VP – Content Development (Cary, NC)

Job Description

The VP – Content Development oversees the entire Relias content and accreditations group comprising 25-30 full-time staff, a library of more than 1000 courses, and more than 75 continuing education accreditations across Relias core verticals. The content development group maintains the existing catalog of Relias content and brings industry best practices to bear to develop the equivalent of more than 200 new hour long clinically accredited courses per year. The position directly oversees managers across six areas within the content organization as well as two quality assurance specialists. The VP Content Development reports directly to the Executive VP of Products within the Relias leadership group.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee entire content operation at a senior level
  • Advise on strategic direction for content team including setting priorities and goals and implementation of innovative methods of content delivery within Relias LMS
  • Manage annual department budget
  • Manage and develop eight direct reports (six at a managerial level) as well as 15-20 additional content staff indirectly
  • Ensure timely and quality delivery of new and maintained course development equivalent to more than 200 hourlong clinically accredited courses per year
  • Ensure continuing education accreditations are maintained and accreditation needs are incorporated into content development concern
  • Represent needs of content development within Relias senior management

 

Skills/Requirements

 

  • Min. 5 years managerial experience including budgetary responsibility and experience overseeing mid-level managers
  • Min. 5 years’ experience within e-learning industry
  • Experience in software-as-a-service company preferred
  • Experience with Learning Management Software preferred
  • Experience in one or more Relias vertical markets a plus
  • BA or BS from accredited 4-year institution
  • MBA or equivalent strongly preferred
