Job Description
Would you like to join a dynamic Amazon team that is focused on delivering critical content to Amazon sellers? Amazon Services is seeking a bright, articulate, web-savvy technical editor to join our editorial team in the Seller Support department.The role requires professional and efficient handling of large volumes of editorial work in cooperation with local/global editors and with many internal teams, such as application and systems development, technical and non-technical support, public relations, legal, and operations. You will draft, edit, and maintain Web content, Help pages, support associate information, and announcements for Amazon’s Seller Central platform.The successful candidate will be self-directed, yet equally comfortable contributing within a global team environment. Strong interpersonal skills, time management, and accuracy are required. You must have a demonstrated affinity for technology and a background in technical writing, editing, and information design. A passion for communicating effectively and a healthy sense of humor are essential to the role. |
Basic Qualifications |
* A minimum of 5 years of experience editing online or web content for a large software product or suite of software products * Degree in English, Technical Communication, or related field * Experience managing multiple projects and setting their schedules and priorities * Advanced grammar skills * Developmental and copy editing skills * Experience with XML-based documentation * Experience with content management systems * Experience with translation workflow systems such as WorldServer * Knowledgeable in using multiple documentation tools to develop base templates and manipulate output styles |
Preferred Qualifications |
* Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills * Experience with Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) * A proactive attitude and a focus on resolving problems and delivering results * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment * Passion for creating a great customer experience |
