Job Description

Overview:
Capstone Corporation’s Military Civil Operations is currently seeking skilled Technical Writers to serve at a client site located in the Chicago, IL area.These positions will be filled upon task order award.
Responsibilities:
  • Supports the development and production of CONPLANs and OPLANs.
  • Assists with developing work and spend plans, including statistical analyses.
  • Writes and edits the results of surveys and statistical studies.
  • Prepares minutes of facilitation meetings and produces meeting reports.
  • Writes and edits material for online access and dissemination via the intranet and internet.
  • Develops project related materials including project plans, design plans, and test plans.
  • Performs document quality assurance by reviewing and editing documentation materials for accuracy, consistency, repeatability, and detail.
  • Assists program managers, project leads, team leads, and associated personnel with creating and disseminating written materials.
  • Maintains and updates functional and technical supporting documentation for projects.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Six (6) years experience writing and editing publications, including technical documents such as needs assessments, productivity improvement plans, quality assurance/quality control plans, research reports, and statistical analyses.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Excellent writing skills with minimal errors.
  • The ability to analyze, synthesize, and condense text that includes survey terminology and is intended for use by non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of writing, editing, style guidelines and printing regulations of the Government Printing Office.
