Lionbridge’s Global Content & Engineering business unit is seeking to hire a Technical Writer at our Indianapolis office to work on the creation and editing of technical documentation. As a part of the publication team, you will be responsible for: •Creation and editing of technical documentation such as: oAircraft Engine Manuals oIllustrated Parts Catalogs oBulletins oIETMs •Gathering information and creating technical documentation in technical writing projects according to the timelines agreed with the client and according to the project specific technical and quality requirements •Finding the information sources within customer organizations •Working in close cooperation with the customer, sometimes at customer premises •Producing documentation according to the rules and specifications defined by the customer •Working with designers and other writers to review documents and share informationJob requirements/Skills: •Extensive hands-on jet engine experience and A&P license preferred •Functional computer literacy with specific proficiency in Quicksilver/Interleaf, Arbortext, SGML, Adobe FrameMaker, Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred •Good organization, communication and interpersonal skills •Excellent writing skills in •Good attention to detail •Strong initiative and follow through; ability to work within a team environment •Use or authoring of aircraft maintenance manuals (ATA100, S1000D knowledge) |
