Position Description:

This work is for an exceptionally receptive, supportive, and cooperative Government client. Also, the rest of the contract technical team works well with the tech writing team.

Work as part of a team of technical writers on a government contract to:
•Create operational documentation for organizational policies, processes and procedures related to management of critical systems, intra- and inter-team coordination.
•Support assessment, development and documentation of of Process Architecture and Procedural workflows across technical teams and relevant technical capabilities
•Support organization- and enterprise-wide content management systems, including wikis, help implementations, and SharePoint resources.
•Recommend, evaluate, and help pilot new technologies to improve the organization’s ability to collaborate and support the enterprise.
•Writes, edits, reviews & organizes all technical written materials including organization of key sections, tables, exhibits, and attachments, providing graphic/layout assistance to help ensure that a quality proposal is produced.
•Analyze enterprise processes and procedures for potential improvements and recommend next steps.
•Participate in efforts to increase management participation through visualization and automated metrics.
•Work closely with Technical Leads in coordination of system launches and service transitions to help ensure that critical schedules are maintained.
•Help create presentations and format and prepare documents for executive leadership.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

Education and Certifications
•US Citizenship
•Secret Clearance or above Required
•BS/BA or equivalent in working experience

Knowledge and Experience
•3+ years of technical writing experience related to process engineering in IT organizations including good understanding of Federal government processes.
•4+ years of exceptional proficiency in writing and editing skills
•Ability to multi-task, prioritize staff requests, and set expectations
•Meticulous attention to detail and effective professional correspondence
•Self-sufficient and resourceful, and able to work independently and take ownership of the document or other product
•Ability to work under tight deadlines.
