Description

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Technical Writer 2 to join our Integrated Personnel and Pay Systems (AF-IPPS) team located in San Antonio Texas.
This position will support the AF-IPPS team responsible for developing, editing, and delivering complex software blueprinting design plans and technical manuals for the AF. Candidate will participate in formal reviews of deliverable documents, and ensure documents meet editorial and Government specifications, as required. The Technical Writer is the primary documentation authority and recorder for AF Integrated Process Teams technical analysts, information technology analysts, and consultants; for “To Be” design requirements. Tracks and fully documents changes for functional and business specifications; writes detailed universally understood procedures for permanent records. Candidate should have strong background in Air Force Personnel and Pay policy and legacy pay and personnel systems, SharePoint, Peoplesoft HRM and BPwin modeling software tool used to analyze, document business processes for software design. Must be experienced with analysis and interpretation of software requirements documentation, have good verbal and written skills and experienced conducting customer reviews, Must be able to thrive in a fast paced, development environment within a team.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English or related business area
supporting personnel or Finance/Pay and 3 years of
experience or 4 years with a Master’s degree. 4 additional years of experience may be used in lieu of degree.
Must be able to edit and proofread technical material;
coordinate layout and organization of documents; maintain customer document library; track and report status; assist in printing, shipping and delivering; and track and maintain archives of deliverables.
Expert in MS Word, proficient in MSPowerPoint; MS
Excel, Acrobat Pro 9 or later and SharePoint.
Experience developing models with Business
Process Modeling tools
Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Position of
Public Trust.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of work experience using BPwin
Experience working within the DoD environment with
working knowledge of protocols and processes.
Experience working within the Air Force Personnel and
Pay legacy systems
Experience working with PeopleSoft HRM- 1 year of work experience using BPwin
Experience working within the DoD environment with
working knowledge of protocols and processes.
Experience working within the Air Force Personnel and
