Position Details: Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:• Collaborates with small teams of external Instructional Designers to guide the design and development of technical training by applying the standards and strategies adopted by ETC’s Global Knowledge Management team.
• Subject matter expert in instructional design and adult learning.
• Works with Instructional Design Team Lead to develop, deploy, and maintain learning and development tools for formal learning using various methods, media and technology.
• Provides project management and consultation on instructional and curriculum design, and training development projects using various methods, media and technology.
• Analyzes and shares trends in new learning methods, media and technology for adult learning, and works with Instructional Design Team Lead to develop business case for piloting and deploying new approaches in Chevron.
• Seeks and transfers best practices, lessons learned and knowledge across the enterprise.

Required Qualifications:

• Masters degree or higher in Instructional Design or Instructional Technology.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a learning and development role that includes instructional design for instructor led, eLearning, and blended learning solutions.
• Awareness of internal and external L&D and instructional design practices. Knowledge of and experience with multiple formal (instructor led, virtual, eLearning, simulations, performance support, etc.) and informal (experiential learning, discussion groups, mentoring, podcasts, feedback, etc.) learning methodologies.
• Able to manage multiple projects at the same time, and work with numerous internal and external stakeholders.
• Understands the energy business and critical competencies to a degree that enables effective alignment of training solutions to business partner’s organizational capability needs.
• Able to work with the business to conduct needs analysis and identify best approaches to meet the development needs and competency gaps.
• Brings processes, tools and innovative solutions to facilitate success in an ever-changing business and world environment.
• Consistently models Chevron Way behaviors.
• Previous experience managing a group of Instructional designers in a high paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PhD in Instructional Design or closely related field.
