Job Description

*The office location for this position is flexible*The person who fills this position will be a member of the RCIS Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Team.

Responsibilities include:
– Write and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to RCIS products and services.
– Conduct moderately complex problem and audience analysis.
– Conduct information interviews with SMEs to help determine appropriate approach to documentation.
– Create business process flows that reflect existing end-to-end business processes.
– Follow established processes for document review, approval, and publication as well as archiving and storage.
– Maintain SharePoint document libraries of SOPs and archives.
– Develop and follow project plans and schedules.

Basic Qualifications

1+ years technical documentation and publication experience.

Minimum Qualifications

– 1+ years experience documenting business and software processes and procedures
– Strong writing, interviewing, communication, and organizational skills
– Proficiency in MS Office programs with excellent skills in Word (including creating and using templates) and Adobe Acrobat
– Experience with SharePoint document libraries and online publishing
– Ability to travel (less than 5%)

Preferred Skills

– Four-year degree in technical or business communications or related field (e.g., English, journalism)
– An agricultural background or experience working in crop insurance
– Experience running virtual meetings
– Experience developing documentation materials for the crop insurance industry a plus
