Job Details: Reporting through the Manager of Content Services to the Vice President, Technology, Information, and Business Solutions, the Product Specialist II is responsible for creating, researching, managing and auditing critical data elements within the ROi and Mercy tool suite to ensure that supply chain systems content is accurate, timely, actionable, as well as clinically acceptable. The supply chain consists of systems that support the ordering, distribution, conversion and consumption of Medical Surgical and Pharmaceutical products, but is also considerate of downstream systems impact. ROi’s ability to effectively manage supply chain operations is dependent on reliable and consistent data content. Maintaining a high standard of data integrity is crucial to the success of this role.  This role interacts with all levels of clinical, supply chain and operations personnel to solicit and build consensus around our approach to data management and establish data standards. The person in this role will need to leverage their product knowledge to both communicate to clinicians and materials management personnel as well as speak to technical personnel to ensure that we are building content valuable to our customers while continuing to optimize our available tools and processes to improve and continually enhance the value of the product information available.The ideal candidate for this job would have experience in a clinical or materials setting, ideally an operating room or central stores, and have extensive knowledge of all manner of products both in what the product is and what it would be used for. In addition, the candidate needs to have some skills with regards to Microsoft products, such as Excel.  Additional experience in the area of Lawson, managing data structures, tables, etc would be ideal.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School or GED/Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Nursing, Information Systems and Data Management.

Experience: Three or more years experience in a clinical or health care supply chain setting, plus extensive knowledge of clinical products and how they are used.
Other: Basic knowledge of material and resource management accepted practices and how the materials management information system functions to meet these practices. Analytic minded person with the ability to provide high level technical support and problem resolution to field team members.Must be available to travel 5% to ROi member facilitiesMust have strong communication skills (written, oral and compassionate human relation skills) with the ability to communicate in a manner that puts non-technical, non-clinical staff at ease.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groupsExcellent team player.Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.Strong issue resolution skills and ability to effectively handle conflict Must be able to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously in a high-pressure environmentKnowledge of spread sheets, data development, and word document applications.Will be expected to support and / or be knowledgeableof the ROi tool suite

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nursing, Data Management or Information Systems
