The BrainRush Content Manager will be responsible for identifying what content our BrainRushes (learning games) should cover, and either creating them personally or overseeing the creation by a small team.
Areas of responsibility
In consultation with others, determine what content our BrainRushes (learning games) should cover, then both create the content as well as at times oversee other content creators.

the creation process involves using a graphics design program, an audio file program and a basic XML program. Ideally the candidate will have experience with these types of programs, but if not could be trained.
Content Manager must be willing and able to create by self as well as train and oversee team to create

advise on adaptation of BrainRush platform & features, all in an effort to provide ever-improving learning games for our community
Be an influential part of a dynamic team!
one of the most important aspects of the Content Manager role is that it will evolve and will be shaped both by the Content Manager as well as the evolution of the company
since BrainRush is a startup, it’s important for each team member to be a bit of a generalist and to be willing to jump into any area which needs help
at times the work will be high level, at times it will be menial, but it will all be critical to the fulfillment of our users and to the success of BrainRush!
Ideally this role could grow into a higher level Curriculum & Content Director, as our community and need for content grows, and as the Content Manager grows in experience.
First and foremost, the Content Manager should have a deep passion for improving education/learning in innovative ways, an abundance of enthusiasm for the job and for the teachers & users he/she will be interacting with, a creative mind to continuously explore better ways to create, and a playful/fun attitude.
The Content Manger should also be:
willing to create BrainRushes as required, as well as oversee one or more content creators
able to source and manage lower-level content creators, including monitoring and validating all work output
able to easily interface with teachers & users, develop friendly rapport, identify their needs and translate into BrainRushes
able to creatively figure out how to best address teacher needs with the game templates we have
familiar with digital teaching & learning tools, and how educators are currently using them
knowledgeable of various education environments and the challenges educators face
a creative thinker who can devise new ways to approach goals and challenges
able to analyze user data in order to understand trends and advise on changes
familiar with graphics design software such as Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Fireworks
extremely proactive/self directed – having the ability and desire to take ownership for the role, to determine the best course of action (in conjunction with others at BrainRush), and to carry it out
extremely reliable, diligent and responsive
able to handle many things at once
a good wrangler of people and tasks
warm & friendly
Being a former teacher or having worked in the education field with a knowledge of what teachers need & want in digital learning/teaching tools is a big plus.
