The Instructional Designer I is responsible for providing consulting services and determining effective learning solutions to address knowledge and/or performance gaps in the target audience; also is responsible for prescribing, designing, and developing learning solutions. Works with Project Managers design and Development teams, Learning Managers and SMEs to develop initial learning needs analysis, low level or high level design, detail design document and storyboard (web-based training) that lead to solutions that enable our clients to accelerate change, drive improved performance and make more effective decisions. Serves as the key connection point between the Learning & Performance Solutions team and business partners during learning solution design, development, and analysis on low to medium complexity projects. The Global Learning Organization (GLO) Instructional Designer I (ID I) assists in providing consulting services and determining effective learning solutions to address knowledge and/or performance gaps in the target audience. The ID I also is responsible for prescribing, designing, and developing learning solutions. Works with project managers, design and development teams, learning managers and subject matter experts to conduct initial learning needs analysis, complete high level or detailed design, and storyboard (web-based training) that lead to solutions that enable our clients to accelerate change, drive improved performance and make more effective decisions. Serves as the key connection point between the learning team and business or learning partners during learning solution design, development, and analysis. This role is an individual contributor role.

Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze, prescribe, and design appropriate learning solutions
- Conducts needs analysis
- Develops high level and detailed designs
- Develops scalable end-to-end learning solutions including learning objectives and assessments as appropriate:
- Instructor led learning components for classroom and virtual sessions, complete with virtual presentation materials, leader guides, participant materials and media support elements
- Technology based learning components, including Web-Based Training, instructional websites, simulations, Narrated Visual Presentations and electronic performance support
- Performance support including Quick Reference Cards or other job aids, informal learning methodologies including EPS, blogs and podcasts
- Partners with SMEs, learning teams and vendors to ensure understanding of the task, audience, environment and content analysis to develop end-to-end learning solutions
- Partners with Project Manager and Instructional Technical Developer to create detailed development timeline
- Designs content in a modular fashion to allow ease of reuse in other programs
- Meets enterprise standards in taxonomy, design, development, and time and project tracking; ensures all solutions produced meet branding and style guide standards
- Follows the departmental processes for development of learning materials
- Explores methods and techniques that drive toward the reduction of cycle time in the development of learning solutions
- Proactively escalates risks and mitigations to managers
Qualifications
Skills Required:
- Minimum of 2 years learning/training experience designing, developing, and implementing training programs
- Minimum of 2 years of training and curriculum development experience in multiple delivery methods (ILT, WBT, structured writing practices, etc.).
- MUST have extensive knowledge and understanding in ADDIE instructional design process
- Must have ability to build strong relationships
- Bachelors Degree with relevant prior work experience
- Computer skills:
- Microsoft Office suite
- Understanding of various web-conferencing tools
- Experience with one or more LMS/LCMS systems and its use in the learning function
- Ability to navigate systems, infrastructure and security
- Knowledge of financial services is preferred
