Full-Time Documentation Manager (Austin, TX)
Full-time, direct hire. Searching for a Documentation Manager to produce and manage product and platform documentation. Our client is an exciting start-up company producing Software as a Service (SaaS) billing software. The documentation will be for web based products delivered in a SaaS environment.
You will establish documentation priorities in collaboration with key stakeholders, product leadership and the development teams. The Documentation Manager will focus on enabling customers, professional services and 3rd party agencies to implement complex applications as well as manage day to day billing functions.
This person will need to work very closely with product managers and developers in tight iterations. Our documentation will cover “how to” for application functionality, installation, system administration, integration, configuration, localization, best practices, API, and more. Leadership and change management experience is a plus. Proven track record of producing highly usable software documentation, including user guides, help files and support documentation.
Education and Experience:
Proven success as a technical writer, or equivalent experience
Experience managing documentation within a SaaS technology company
Experience working with software development teams to create documentation for users
Experience translating complex systems and solutions for less technical audiences (account managers, business analysts, administrative users, and end users).
Experience working with a SAAS company is helpful
