Our team is continually developing our open platform which allows any user, anywhere in the world, to create or discover an adaptive learning experience. We’re looking for a Content Curation Manager to lead all content-related projects for this platform.

As Content Curation Manager, your job is to grow the team of Content Curators who procure and prepare content for the platform, while serving as the primary point of contact with the Design, Product, and Engineering teams developing this platform, as well as the Data Science and Adaptive Instruction teams who refine the core representational frameworks, models, and recommendation algorithms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable operational processes to procure and prepare content
  • Hire and manage a team of Content Curators, whose primary task is managing the content in the system
  • Work with Product and Design teams to build tools that make our content processes as efficient and effective as possible, and to find innovative solutions for increasing the amount of content in our system
  • Work with Data Science and Adaptive Instruction teams to ensure any tagging or representation processes are intuitive and interpretable
  • Help manage the technology and human capital solutions around this effort
  • QA adaptive recommendations to ensure efficacy

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree; Master’s degree in education a huge plus
  • 2+ years’ experience with personnel management
  • 3+ years’ experience with digital content management
  • Experience in community management and/or crowdsourced solutions a plus
  • Familiarity with educational standards and taxonomies
  • Library sciences or information sciences experience a big plus
  • Exceptional communication skills and scrupulous attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and capacity to communicate in cross-functional groups
  • Good quantitative and logical skills
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
