- Job Description
- The Technical Writer is responsible for writing and maintaining user manuals, online help, release notes and other technical documentation consistent with MedAssets standards.Position Objectives: The Technical Writer is an independent performer who can work with subject-matter experts to translate complex technical concepts into help documentation intended for general audiences.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Analyze business requirements to develop clear and accurate user documentation with minimal direction
Create and maintain user documentation of all types, using Adobe FrameMaker®, WebWorks ePublisher Pro®, and Adobe RoboHelp®
Independently manage multiple complex projects with overlapping deliverables and deadlines
Follow the style guide and other standards designated by MedAssets
Check for adherence to standards, correcting mistakes, making global changes, maintaining proper formatting, and performing quality assurance testing of online help
Effectively communicate with Technical Documentation team members and assigned development teams, maintaining good working relationships with all parties
Perform other activities as required and requestedMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, or General Communication or similarly related field
1+ years technical writing experience in hardware and software development; healthcare or similar technical environment a plus
Ability to create, maintain, and use templates for developing complex, single-sourced documentation using Adobe FrameMaker
Strong attention to detail

Previous experience working in an agile programming environment
