Full-Time Technical Writer (Palo Alto, CA)
Job Description
We’re looking for a full-time Technical Writer to join our team, working in our Palo Alto office to create online documentation for our clients and partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create large, user-friendly documents targeted at developers using our software. Our manuals detail how to set up a complex software package and use it effectively.
- Create API documentation and write short descriptive documents related to our applications.
- Apply the rules of grammar and mechanics, but also know when to break them.
- Collaborate with the team and build good relationships with subject matter experts.
- Deliver quality content on schedule, following defined workflow and styles.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-5 yrs. technical writing experience, with experience documenting APIs.
- BA or BS in Journalism, English, Technical Writing or equivalent experience.
- Must show critical attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Must be independent and self-sufficient.
- Native English-speaking ability (American)
- Experience building a documentation system is a plus.
- A good sense of humor a plus.
