Description:
Responsible for writing and editing a comprehensive library of user documentation and developing eLearning modules for a suite of clinical trial management software applications.
Writing and editing content for online help and release notes
Creating eLearning modules and other training materials
Analyzing internal documentation, such as Functional Specification Documents, Business Requirements, wireframes and other source documents to determine appropriate topics and supporting graphic
Ensuring that documentation meets the acceptance criteria of stakeholders
Providing task estimates and project status reports to project team and Technical Publications Team Lead
Developing a strong knowledge of Perceptive Informatics software products and the clinical trial management industry
Investigating trends in technical writing and instructional design and developing methods for improving the quality or process involved in creating documentation and training materials
Experience:
Ability to write clearly and concisely
Proficient in creating graphics, diagrams, and screen captures to support and clarify procedures and concepts
Ability to work well with project managers, software engineers and others in a team environment
Experienced in implementing single source practices
Have complete proficiency with MadCap Flare and Adobe Acrobat
Proficient in Adobe Captivate or other eLearning authoring tool
Familiar with Agile software development process
Familiarity with best practices for localization is a plus but not required
Bachelor of Arts/Science in Technical Communications, English, or Engineering Writing or equivalent work experience
5 or more years of experience as a technical writer in the software industry
