Job Description
Security Operations Center Technical Writer
Responsibilities:
* Write technical Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); produce workflows, checklists, job aids, and other program documentation as required by coordinating with CSSS SMEs and program management staff
* Compile/format/edit all contractual deliverables and submit to the QA/QC Manager
* Ensure technical verbiage is easy to understand by the layperson
* Oversee the SharePoint documentation page by managing all CSSS documents
* Perform documentation version control of all CSSS documentation
* Manage the hard copy documents (in binders) and ensure that they are up to date for the team’s use
* Other tasks as assigned
Desired Experience:
* The ideal candidate should be able to multitask and give equal attention to a variety of functions while under pressure. Speed and accuracy are essential, as is the ability to make quick, informed decisions while facing a deadline.
* Must have strong written and oral communication skills and be self-directed and independent.
* 3 to 5+ years of experience in an appropriate discipline which demonstrates the level of technical knowledge, abilities, and technical documentation skills required to effectively format publications to include writing, producing forms, technical interpretations and depth of cyber security operational business flows
* 3 to 5+ years of experience in the following areas: MS Office 2010 software (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat)
* Formatting documents using such features as Word styles, templates, automated cross-referencing; creating swim lanes, decision trees, RACI matrixes, workflows, and knowledge of producing use cases
* SharePoint knowledge is a plus, but is not required
A DHS Public Trust (6C) security clearance is required for this position
