nSight is seeking detail oriented self-starters for Jr. Technical Writing opportunities in the greater Boston area. These are great opportunities for professionals early in their career (less than 10 years experience). We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are able to synthesize complex technical (hardware AND software) information into clear and concise end-user documentation.
Some of the documentation this role will be required to produce include reference manuals, training materials, end-user guides, and more!

* Knowledgeable: Able to understand and write clearly about highly technical topics
* Communicative: Can communicate effectively with technical subject matter experts/SMEs (engineers) and ask the right questions
* Resourcefulness: Knows that engineers are busy and can effectively and efficiently gather details, from SMEs and through hands-on system use
* Confidence: Natural desire to learn, gather, and organize new information
Your resume might look like…
* 3-5 years’ experience with a software company in a technical writing position
* Familiarity with technical authoring tools (MadCap, RoboHelp, and Framemaker), programming languages, and software tools
* Bachelor’s degree or certificates in Technical Writing or comparable experience
* Degrees in technical computer fields, or in English or Journalism considered
* Computer Science background or software development experience would be a plus
