Full-Time Instructional Designer (Chicago, IL)
Job Description
We are currently searching for an Instructional Designer to join our corporate team in Chicago. Under the direction of the Project Manager, Learning & Knowledge Management, this role is primarily responsible for the design and development of OTD content such as eLearning courses, webinars, integrated help features, classroom coursework, and performance support.
The Instructional Designer helps to improve employee performance and productivity by designing user friendly and accessible information that helps Equity employees become more effective. The Instructional Designer may be responsible for designing (and developing) some portions of the eLearning curriculum and may serve as the project manager for smaller scoped eLearning projects. Responsibilities include design of assigned projects and quality assurance of learning assets. Position interacts with various levels of management on a regular basis and works both independently as well as part of a team.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, or other related field is required. Knowledge of Equity business, or the ability quickly learn Equity’s culture. 2-5 years traditional and eLearning curriculum design / development experience required. Ability to design integrated curriculum (each course follows and builds on another where practical and possible). Proven instructional design skills required.
