Full-Time e-Learning Instructional Designer (Dallas, TX)
Job Description
As the e-Learning Instructional Designer/Developer you will be responsible for review, quality assurance and recommending interactive design elements for use in online training courses. You will develop and ensure all internal infrastructure standards are followed and continually research emerging technologies for innovative learning solutions.
Skills Required:
- Excellent skills in web design and coding, template building, audio and video integration
- Researches and recommends ways to implement course interactions (Flash animations, audio and video)
- Develops reusable learning components (templates, games)
- Responsible for technical and internal standard quality reviews
- Must be extremely knowledgeable about, and experienced in, designing technology-based learning (web-based learning and performance support)
- Knowledge of assessment and measurement strategies and techniques preferred
- Tests current software updates/licenses and manages implementation
- Monitors external space for advances in learning theory and tools; evaluates their potential impact for Mortgage Banking
- Experience with SharePoint administration a plus
- Experience with Questionmark Perception assessment software a plus
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (Instructional Design, Visual Communications, Graphic Design, Instructional Technology, Computer Science) or equivalent work experience
- 4-7 years experience in instructional design, application maintenance, training interfaces and technical support for online training
- Excellent skills in development applications such as Flash, Photoshop/Fireworks, Captivate, Presenter/Articulate, LMS
- Working knowledge of the ADDIE process and experience in adult learning and Web-based instructional design methods is highly desirable
- Financial/Retail Banking experience preferred but not required
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as member of high performing team in project driven environment
