Job Description

The Technical Content Writer is a key member of the marketing team responsible for conceptualizing, researching and creating high quality content for our blog, lead generation programs and any writing projects while maintaining the tone of voice consistent with the company’s mission. The position requires excellent writing skills and ability to engage and grow audience interest on multiple platforms. The person selected for this position will generate topic ideas, interview key thought leaders within the organization and develop/manage an editorial calendar.

The Technical Content Writer will report directly to the VP of Marketing. And will have the chance to bring its most creative ideas to life – developing content for a fast-growing company on the cutting edge of technology that is leveraging the latest innovations in B2B marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the company blog and write daily articles to increase viewership and traffic to our website
  • Interview internal subject matter experts and research/source content for blog and thought leadership papers
  • Create content for website and update website daily ensuring that the information is current, accurate and structured appropriately
  • Proofread and SEO (search engine optimize) each article to include specific key words
  • Drive the search for references and success stories (client profiles) and assist in getting approvals
  • Develop content for proposals and presentations
  • Keep up-to-date with best practices in writing for the web, internal publications, social media trends, and business/industry trends
  • Work with Product Marketing team to develop technical papers and briefs
  • Research, analyze, and monitor social media channels for relevant opportunities for brand interaction opportunities, customer questions, trends, issues
  • Manage industry blog editorial calendar

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or related field
  • 3+ years relevant experience in developing interactive content and strategy (web, social, media and mobile) for enterprise software
  • Excellent technical writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to write blog posts, white papers, solutions guides, and solutions briefs
  • Ability to work with subject matter experts to outline content material
  • Must be comfortable managing editorial calendar
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and SEO
  • Experience with WordPress CMS
