Full-Time User Assistance Engineer

Job Description

Domino’s is looking for a strong User Assistance Engineer to assist in executing the software help strategy for the next generation of our in-store technology systems.

As a User Assistance Engineer, you’ll create high-quality content and help build processes intended for our software users (both internal and external). This includes reviewing/creating user interface text, working with a variety of help systems, and creating knowledge transfer material.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Acts as a liaison between Product Engineering and cross-functional internal/external stakeholders to identify, help prioritize, and create help content
* Organize and complete writing assignments according to set standards
* Test documentation against software to ensure proper functionality
* Assist in analyzing metrics that quantify the effectiveness of help content and strategy
* Support User Assistance team members in executing plans and achieving goals

Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Communications or technical discipline, or equivalent experience
* 3+ years of experience in technical communications or instructional design
* Demonstration of attention to detail and the ability to distill complex information into concise, clear text and communications
* Proven record of delivering system and user content for commercial software
* Experience with system and user help authoring tools
* Agile experience – experience working in an Agile product/software development environment with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket)
* Familiarity and experience working with single-source concepts (XML/DITA) a plus
* Swagger/OpenAPI experience – exposure to working with the Swagger/OpenAPI framework
