Job Summary
Seeking a talented, experienced technical writer who is passionate about and takes ownership of their work. The Technical Writer is responsible for all documentation supporting the institution’s Student Information System Project, will be part of a multifaceted team, working closely Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Business Analysts (BAs), and technical staff as well as customers within the institution and across the Kuali Student (KS) community, to assist in the delivery of a bold, next-generation student system. This position will prepare documentation as required while ensuring that all documentation is complete, accurate, and produced and disseminated in a timely manner. Will also respond to documentation issues and ensure a timely resolution of issues.

Responsibilities
•work closely with SMEs, BAs, technical staff and customers, gather content requirements
•write, edit, proofread, and deliver final documentation that meets user and business requirements, while maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness
•revise documentation, keeping the same high standards
•maintain file organization and management
•provide quality assurance
•other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalency with excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus 2 – 4 years’ writing experience as evidenced by a solid portfolio. Commitment to providing excellent customer service required.
