Description: Description:Produce specified new and revised product Parts Books, Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Service Manuals, Shop Manuals and other technical service publications as part of approximate $4M annual budget per annual activity plan, KGS (Japan) work orders and third party projects. Create Parts & Service News, Installation Manuals, and other miscellaneous technical service information within budget for KAC, KMS, and KUC products per annual activity plan. Support annual revenue by creating all publications to their highest quality standards. Support new product introduction schedule by producing material within given timeframe.

1. Create Parts Book and CSS electronic files for new model introductions.Requires knowledge of Bills of Material, manufacturing sub-assemblies, and Engineering drawings
2. Revise Parts Books and CSS electronic files with updated information on existing models based upon latest Engineering information.
3. Create Operation & Maintenance Manuals for new model introductions. Requires knowledge of safety requirements, general machine operations, machine maintenance, etc.
4. Revise Operation & Maintenance Manuals with updated information on existing models based upon latest Engineering and KGS information.
5. Create Shop Manuals for new model introductions.Requires knowledge of machine/component theory of operation, troubleshooting techniques, component assembly and disassembly, diagnostics, etc.
6. Revise Shop Manuals with updated information on existing models based upon latest Engineering and KGS information.
7. Create Service Bulletins, Parts & Service News or Installation Manuals releases for existing models based upon latest Engineering and Service information.
8. Create specialty publications required for military contracts and third part business.
9. Maintain proficiency in currently used computers, computer software and graphic programs.
Qualifications:
1. Four year college degree in technical field plus five years experience in technical writing field or four years experience in technical support of a product having similar mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems to Komatsu products, along with strong technical/mechanical aptitude.
2. Knowledge of Komatsu product
3. Self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills
4. Ability to read and understand engineering blueprints
5. Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems
6. Knowledge of state of the art electrical systems
7. Mechanical aptitude
8. Advanced Personal computer skills
9. Creative writing ability
