Contract \ Contract-to-Hire Technical Writer (Newark, NJ)
Job Description
RCM Technologies is looking for a Technical Writer in Newark, NJ. This is scheduled to be a 2 month contract but could get extended.
Please note:
- We can only accept candidates willing to work on a W2 contract. We cannot do Corp to Corp or 1099 on this job. Sorry no exceptions.

Job Description:
Technical writer that preferably has electrical substation equipment knowledge/experience. Will be visiting over 30 substations primarily in the northern part of our service territory with a small team of technical experts to evaluate substation damage from Superstorm Sandy.
Responsibility is to listen to the technical experts and translate that into a technical document that will be submitted to the Insurance Company – 2 months (may be longer)
– Preparing claim books from damage from Sandy
– Team of substation expert, insurance person & tech writer
– Doing site visits at substations that were affected (3/week – totaling 30 stations)
– Expert will identify damage, what work has been done & what work still needs to be done
– Tech writer will take note of all details and produce a doc that captures work that has been done & work that will be done
– Electrical substation knowledge a plus
– Must have their own reliable transportation & a valid DL
– Team of substation expert, insurance person & tech writer
– Doing site visits at substations that were affected (3/week – totaling 30 stations)
