The Technical Writer will report to the Director of Product Management. The primary duties of the
Technical Writer require the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of
significance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Create documentation methodology and framework
-Document core product and customer solution-specific code
-Create document flow diagrams
-Document programming methodologies and toolkit use
-Develop and maintain user materials and release notes
-Develop on-line help screens
-Independently plan, coordinate and execute documentation projects under very general direction
-Act as the Subject Matter Expert for knowledge transfer to other departmentsCore Competencies/Skills
-Strong grasp of design and user experience
-Must demonstrate solid understanding of software development life cycle
-Highly organized and able to work on multiple projects at-once, quickly and efficiently while
maintaining the highest quality
-Excellent written and verbal skills

Knowledge and Skills
-Experience managing products which leverage social media
-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT/Computer Sciences or Business with at least 4 years of experience
in the field or in a related area
-High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
-Functional knowledge in Cisco, AXL, CTI, VoIP (Telephony a strong advantage)
-Knowledge of Flare and authoring using XML
-Proficient in SharePoint 2010+
-Knowledge in .NET, PHP, Java languages
-Experience in Agile development methodologies
-Experience leading and directing the work of others
-A wide degree of creativity and latitude
-Able to interact with high-level contacts, both internal and external to the company
