Job Description: | Skyworks is looking for a talented Technical Writer to join our team. The successful candidate will create technical customer documentation for the company’s wireless communication products.Responsibilities include: •Creating, developing, writing, and managing Skyworks customer documentation (including, but not limited to, Data Sheets, Application Notes, Programming Guides, etc.) for ICs and components. •Conforming to the approved Skyworks Style Guide, document templates, and quality assurance standards. •Managing the documentation approval process using a computer-based database (Lotus Notes interface). •Interviewing engineering staff for technical help with documentation. •Working with the company website developer to post approved documents. •Responding to urgent business unit concerns and customer needs. •Re-prioritizing work as needed. •Adhering to proper English writing and grammar rules. •Understanding technical writing and Configuration Management principles. •Advising staff on proper ways to handle complex information in customer documents for best reader comprehension (with the indirect goal of reducing calls to the Engineering and Marketing staff). •Recommending formats and content responsive to technical and customer requirements. *LI-HP1 |

Job Requirements: | Requirements: •Bachelors degree in a technical field or equivalent experience in the wireless communication industry (3 to 5 years or more preferred). •Excellent communication and writing skills. •Working experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Illustrator, Visio, PhotoShop, InDesign, Acrobat, and Lotus Notes. •Knowledge of semiconductor and electrical engineering terms. |
