Technical Writer (Computer Based Training Emphasis)
Seeking a Technical Writer with Expertise in Computer-based Training
The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a technical writer to develop computer-based training (CBT) for end users of spaceflight-related software and hardware. Work will also include researching, writing, and editing reports, user manuals, software documentation, test plans, and presentations. The selected candidate will work directly with software and hardware engineers.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in instructional technology or a communications or technical field
Will consider an undergraduate student in their senior year for part time work until graduation
Proficiency in MS Office
Proactive and able to work effectively with little direct supervision
Work productively alone and in a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to meet tight deadlines
Must demonstrate the ability to understand and document technical and engineering concepts
Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance
Must be a US citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience producing professional CBT and technical documentation
Experience in aerospace or other engineering field
Experience using Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate 9, Camtasia Studio 9, Adobe Audition, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Animate
