| Major/Essential Duties of Job | The Technical Writer I is responsible for developing, writing, and editing material for a specific project. The Technical Writer I works closely with subject matter experts, instructional design specialists, and graphic designers to gain an understanding of the project or procedure and to ensure consistency between all related documentation. He/she utilizes their professional-level formatting skills to reorganize and simplify complex documents for the target audience. The Technical Writer I also assists in laying out material for publication. |
| Minimum Education | Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. |
| Work Experience (Months/Years) and Skills Required | One year technical writing or editing experience. |
