Technical Writer
Location – Baltimore, MD
In response to RFPs and other client or prospect opportunities, the Technical Writer writes proposals and develops presentations on behalf of Wilmington Trust, Wilmington Trust Investment Advisors (WTIA), Wilmington Trust Retirement and Institutional Services Company (WTRIS) and M&T Bank to provide institutional and personal wealth investment management, retirement services including employee benefits, and custody services.
Responsibilities include:
Interact with Institutional Sales, Fund & Portfolio Managers, Portfolio Management Services Group, Product Managers, WTIA Performance team, Private Client Advisors, Segment Leaders, Senior Management and external strategic partners to develop winning proposals and presentations
Interact with legal & compliance to ensure that proposals and presentations are fully compliant with all related laws and regulations
Ensure the RFP database includes all relevant questions/answers and the answers are accurate
Edit text within the current RFP database and text provided by subject matter experts with compliance approval
Assist with development & production of sales tools and presentations
Assist with market research and other initiatives designed to drive sales
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree or in lieu of degree, four years of relevant experience
3 years of proposal writing experience
Investment writing experience, required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Superior communication skills, both written and oral
High quality standards, meticulous attention to detail, ability to multi-task and strict adherence to deadlines
Highly flexible and adaptive to change
Some exposure to financial services, banking or investment management
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
Self-starter with ability to recognize and implement new initiatives when needed
Ideal Qualifications Preferred:
5 years of proposal writing experience
Investment management background
Proven track record of writing investment management proposals for institutional clients
