Full-Time Technical Writer (Austin, TX)
Job Description
Q2ebanking is seeking a professional documentation specialist for our Development groups. We are seeking a qualified individual who thrives in a busy environment, is exceptionally detail-oriented, is an energetic self-starter and who works well independently and in a team setting.
Responsibilities
- Document SSAE 16 SOC 1 compliance proof on a monthly basis, in required format and submit to the VP of Compliance, quarterly, including information required for certification of each production release
- Interviews developers and/or quality assurance engineers to document technical details on setup and configuration requirements for new features for distribution to downstream internal groups
- Interviews developers to document troubleshooting details for new and existing product features
- Coordinate with groups downstream from development to ensure requested/required documentation of various other development efforts are captured and passed to downstream groups
- Document configure and troubleshoot details for Adapters, Wedges and Bridges Support other documentation requirements within the Development group, as defined by Executive Managers
- Review and validate End User documentation produced by other departments to ensure technical accuracy
- Work under the day-to-day direction of the Director of Quality Assurance
- Perform other related duties, as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or related field
- 5+ years of technical writing experience with demonstrate writing and analytical skills
- Must possess a comprehensive understanding of software development processes
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong teamwork, organization and problem solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative working environment and be highly proactive
- UX and UI experience is preferred
- Knowledge of banking practices is helpful
