For more information, visit us at www.brightleafgroup.com.We are seeking a Technical Writer for a long-term, full-time, onsite assignment at a growing software company that has been judged one of the best companies to work for in Texas.

The Technical Writer will design, write, and edit documentation for system integrators, professional services, and business users. The writer will collaborate with a highly creative team of developers, user experience gurus, quality assurance experts, product managers and other technical writers in an agile development environment.

This position requires:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience writing documentation for technical audiences (configuration, administration, and installation documentation)
  • Experience writing documentation for business users (online help, embedded help, and user guides)
  • Excellent technical writing skills (writing samples will be required)
  • Tool skills including Atlassian Confluence (or similar wiki-based authoring tool), Microsoft Office suite, WebWorks Publisher, and Acrobat Professional
  • Ability to work within the agile process on multiple scrum teams, simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with minimal supervision

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Experience planning and executing creative wiki-based documentation strategies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, or Journalism and/or certification in Technical Writing
