Contract \ Contract-to-Hire Technical Writer
Job Description
I am looking for an available contract technical writer in Albany, NY.
The project is supporting a software developer in the implementation of a new Women, Infant Children (WIC) system at the New York Department of Health. The position is a full-time, onsite, 1099 contract for at least 3 years.
You will work with the team to:
Capture style guides and standards for WIC user and system documentation.
Assist Business Analysts and QA Lead as directed in the collection of system requirements when meeting with the Subject Matter Experts users to understand/document WIC system requirements.
Assist in creation of many different types of user documentation (how-to guides, quick references, quick cards, or cheat sheets).
Work with training staff to put together class materials, CBTs, demos, and other training materials.
Participate in preparing software test cases.
Review and edit project materials as needed.
