This position is located in Kearny Mesa, area of San Diego CA.

Hours
8-hour shift: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, weekends as needed.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
Five (5+) years’ experience of online content production required.
MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook required.
Experience working on complex, large-scale websites that integrate database or CMS-driven content, application-like functionality, or ecommerce required.
Thorough knowledge of webfunctionality and applications required.
One (1) year of Visio, and Photoshop preferred.
1 year of experience in user experience design and website optimization preferred.
Ability to systematically interpret functional requirements into applications design, and communicate technical issues to non-technical users/clients.
Knowledge of health care industry or medical terminology preferred.
Ability to communicate and work with cross-functional teams – business units, IT and marketing.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring minimal supervision.

Summary
This role is responsible for the overall voice of Sharp HealthCare digitally, including visual representation, content strategy and business processes. He/she oversees a team of four producers, who produce all copy, video and photography for Sharp.com, Sharp’s intranet, email newsletters and other external digital platforms.

Candidate will lead all digital marketing advertising content solutions, including social media, online content, email newsletter marketing, and other new media. This person is the main point of contact for clients requiring campaign support, content production or new project initiatives. He/she is also in charge of generating and overseeing all communications plans produced for internal and external clients.

Candidate will stay current on new technologies and digital marketing opportunities. He/she is also in charge of all content strategy and works closely with the web development team for content enhancements and bugs that require IT help.

Candidate uses effective communication and interview skills to get an understanding of each client’s business need, then works closely with his/her team to help translate these needs into effective digital communication for Sharp’s patients.

Position is responsible for overseeing and recommending best website hierarchy and content structure, and determines best use of various types of content for each subject matter. He/she will evaluate exiting and new designs for quality and consistency of the architecture on all of Sharp’s websites, and is responsible for maintaining both visual and content style guidelines.

Position provides oversight and day-to-day support and guidance of content producer team. Leads content and project planning meetings, performs annual performance reviews, resolves conflicts and keeps manager apprised of performance issues and challenges. He/she provides guidance on editorial tone and direction of the brand.

The Sharp Digital Marketing team consists of 13 people who oversee all strategy, design, content, research, enhancements and marketing of Sharp’s internal and external web and mobile properties. Although positioned in a large organization, the team functions like a web start-up with many roles cross-functional, and input and support across the department a requirement.

Sharp System Services have campuses located in the communities of Kearny Mesa and Serra Mesa and consist of the Spectrum location, the Ruffin Road location and Sharp Operations Center (SOC). These offices provide the centralized integrated system support services to the operating entities within the system. These services include: Strategic Planning, Business Development, Information Technology, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, Risk Management and Insurance, Contracts, Human Resources, Facilities Management and Development, Clinical Effectiveness, Finance, Nursing, Systems Supply Chain Services, Marketing and Communications, The Sharp Experience and Sharp University

Essential Physical Requirements May Include
Position requires the ability to sit at desk and use computer keyboard for extended periods of time. Ability to handle stress related to multiple competing priorities, Web production projects, and meeting client needs. Ability to walk, stand, bend, hear, speak, and write as well as attend regular meetings on site and off site. Occasionally may be asked to extend beyond an hour day. Ability to lift 25 pounds.
