AMA is seeking a Director of Instructional Design.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership in acquiring and developing high quality products and services in the formats required by both individual and corporate customers in order to achieve USME revenue and business development goals.
  • Continuous improvement of AMA’s product development processes and standards, including review of and participation in product development milestones (design documents, initial modules, materials walk-throughs, train the trainer sessions) and continuous improvement of AMA’s use of instructional design and adult learning theories.
  • Ensure that core products are easily customizable to allow for reuse and repurpose wherever possible.
  • Monitor the product and delivery practices of competitors and AMA customers to ensure that we are delivering relevant products, services, and technologies.
  • Review all products, services, and delivery formats within the framework of Kirkpatrick’s 4 level evaluation model.
  • Source and manage contracted instructional development and design resources.
  • Other related duties.
Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in organizational development, education, or instructional design.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in OD and/or training.
  • Experience in developing products in a wide variety of formats including elearning applications and environments.
  • Client experience, from sales cycle through delivery.
  • Excellent design and facilitation skills; psychometric skills a plus.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communications.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and meet budget.
  • Limited travel.
