Full-Time Content Manager (Cincinnati, OH)

Job Description

The Content Manager will develop and implement the company’s content strategy, online voice and expand the awareness of and engagement with the brand. He or she will also be responsible for consistently generating a wide variety of original, compelling, high-quality content for use across a variety of online platforms, social channels, sales tools, client communication and other media.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Create a content strategy that will leverage and build upon our existing initiatives to meet aggressive online and sales goals.
  • Develop an editorial calendar and determine the media and methods that will work for each target audience.
  • Research and refine methods for scheduling or featuring content at optimal times.
  • Create original content, such as thought leadership articles, product collateral, marketing copy, white papers, Infographics, website copy and client communication.
  • Collaborate with various departments and teams to plan, create, and publish a mix of value-driven content.
  • Support the efforts of marketing program managers, client service and other internal customers by creating compelling content for their initiatives.
  • Research and curate external content highlighting interesting content produced by third parties.
REQUIREMENTS 
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, public relations or related communications
  • 5 to 7 years of experience as a writer, editor, or publisherSuccess in creating content strategy for a mid-size business to support growth goals.
  • Proven ability to produce content on a variety of business growth topics that generates engagement and qualified leads.
  • Demonstrated examples of using ROI and online engagement data to measure and improve content.
  • Strong copy editing, copywriting and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and nurture relationships with subject matter experts, writers and journalists in the industry.
  • Ability to identify relevant subject matter of interest for a particular online audience/constituent group.

 

Excellent project management skills including the ability to organize and prioritize work across a team of contributors.
