Job Description

Facebook seeks a skilled Consumer Content Manager to join the growing consumer communications team. The consumer team is responsible for amplifying the exciting ways people are using Facebook and connecting with others during global events, holidays and other significant moments in time. We are looking for a creative Content Manager to help us continue to tell this story through user stories, data and high impact media partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a strong editorial background – with an eye for interesting data points and stories to support media partnerships and communications initiatives at Facebook. This person will also help drive consumer messaging and strategy during large company moments and other high impact events.

Responsibilities

  • Interface and consult regularly with cross-functional teams across the company as well as agencies
  • Support partnerships with a heavy emphasis on data and editorial content
  • Develop consumer programs during large events, holidays and other moments in time
  • Work closely with the Strategic Partnership team to drive initiatives and programs
  • Educate users, press and influencers and Facebook products and initiatives in the US and abroad.
  • Develop strategies to drive coverage in consumer press outlets.
  • Support and manage the creation of press materials

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelors degree, post graduate or professional degrees preferred
  • 10-12+ years in journalism or public relations
  • Strong project management and decision making skills
  • Ability to think and communicate strategically with a variety of people
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Must know AP style guidelines and be a master of grammar
  • Deep understanding and passion for Facebook
