Full-Time Technical Writer/Editor
Job Description
Responsible for contributing to creative and compelling sales documents and marketing collateral while ensuring compliance with any related US Federal Government procurement requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reviews solicitations and Requests for Proposal/Quote and develops summary for senior managers.
• Through a variety of mechanisms, conducts research and analysis of subject US Federal Government missions as input to assigned proposals
• Inspires and directs line resources and managers to provide accurate and compelling input to sales documents and proposals.
• Provides creative leadership over technical managers who are not professional writers but experts in their respective fields.
• Provides input and direction to visual communications specialists in the development of supporting graphics, photography and covers.
• Develops proposal outline, schedule, compliance matrix and other materials needed for proposal kickoff.
• Research and gather information for use in proposal development activities.
• Participates in story boarding and content development meetings.
• Develops win themes and incorporates strategies developed in review teams for final proposal drafts.
• Interview program managers and task leads, and other technical personnel to collect technical and methodology information and incorporate that information into writing winning technical approach sections of proposals.
• Engages throughout the entire proposal life cycle to create uniform and compelling proposal content.
• Supports proposal production through preparation, editing and final binding of all proposals.
• Coordinates all proposal sections assigned (Past Performance, Technical, Management, Pricing) and completes all required Government forms.
