Description
The Technology and Information Risk division has a vacancy for a Policy Development consultant role within its Technology Policy and Models (TPM) Function.
TPM is responsible for the development and implementation of Technology and Data related Policies and Standards across the firm and is currently managing a number of critical projects to extend and enhance Policies and Standards in areas including;
-Software Development Lifecycle Standards
-Change Management Standards
-Technology Entitlements Management Standards
-Data Security Standards
Reporting into the global head of Policy Development (NY based) the Technical Writer role will be responsible for the following aspects of development of Policies & Standards;
Initial Research/Scoping of new Policy/Standards Requests – Working with various Program Leads and other SMEs across Technology owning Divisions the person will be responsible for owning the process of initial Research and Scoping of new Policy/Standards requests
Drafting of Policies & Standards
Post approval of new requests the person will be responsible for developing a plan of action for drafting of any new Policy/Standards content including
Identification of SMEs and other interested parties to be involved in the consultation process
Executing (or facilitating delegation) of initial Drafting of Policy/Standards content
Facilitating review/discussion workshops in order to finalize content
Presenting final recommendations to senior management (CIO/COO level engagement)
Liaison with Policy/Standards implementation team
Liaising with the Policy/Standards implementation team (within the TPM function) on aspects of Policy/Standards implementation (eg on the development of Division specific procedures as required)
Skills Required
Experience of policies and standards programs those related to regulatory programs in Finance (e.g. SOX) would be ideal
Proven analytical skills
Proven written and verbal communication skills to the level of being able to interact directly with department senior management
Ideally good awareness of Industry Standards and Best practices (in areas such as Software Development, IT Security)
Ideally some level of hands on technical experience (e.g. software development, infrastructure support)
