BUSINESS:
Our client, Hitachi Kokusai Electric Comark – COMARK, has an immediate need for a Technical Writer to fulfill a critical contributory role within a team of Service, Marketing, Electronic Hardware, Software and RF Design Engineers. COMARK is a leading DTV equipment OEM and is preparing for unprecedented growth resulting from the FCC’s recent & long awaited decision on UHF and VHF frequencies spectrum assignment. COMARK’s new PARALLAX Transmitter was awarded the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Best of Show at this year’s NAB Conference. You will work on industry leading equipment!
POSITION: Technical Writer
POSITION REPORTS TO: Director of Engineering
DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
The Technical Writer will initially work on completing the necessary manuals, service bulletins and other documents to communicate system operations and technical information to owners of COMARK broadcasting transmitter to be released later this year.
Successful Candidates will have experience in . . .
Creating complex product instruction manuals and technical documents.
Determining the needs of end users of documentation.
Using photographs, drawings, diagrams and charts for end-users.
Using Adobe Publishing software for printed and electronic documents.
Extracting and distilling information from Engineering, Research & Developments & Service Personnel.
Successful Candidates will have strong skills, education or high potential in mastering . . .
Ability to work with and observer manufacturing personnel to create internal documentation to support assembly & test of systems.
Ability to work with various forms of CAD drawing objects to highlight, place, size, annotate and label.
