Department Description
The Oracle Documentation team is looking for a talented writer to work on Oracle Fusion Middleware products. Fusion Middleware is among the fastest-growing product areas at Oracle and is the development platform for Oracle’s Cloud products.
Our technical writers are core members of the development organization, and we take an active role in defining product features and enhancements, development processes, and product readiness. We produce an extensive and innovative library of information that includes developer guides, administration guides, and user guides as well as online help.
The position entails developing technical information about Oracle’s PaaS and application server products including WebLogic Server, GlassFish, Java Platform Enterprise Edition (JavaEE), developer tools, system administration, management, and security. Writers work closely with Information Development, Software Development, and Product Marketing teams to deliver high quality content to the Oracle Technology Network.

Brief Description
Creates, develops, plans, writes and edits operational, instructional, maintenance, test or user manuals for paper, multimedia or web-based publications. Contributes to the timely design, production and delivery/completion of product documentation and document sets.
Detailed Description
As a member of the technical writing division, you will organize and prepare information for publication and develop publication concepts for the best communication of subject matter. Review technical information prepared by other staff members for clarity and content. Take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures.Job RequirementsWork is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
