The Technical Writer is responsible for the development of documented operational processes, technical manuals and user assistance documentation for all software applications. This role works closely with the Runzheimer University team, specifically the curriculum designers, to ensure all internal and external training materials are based upon approved and documented processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborating with the IT technical staff as well as subject matter experts, to document operational processes, system enhancements, reference materials and the like. Develops documentation that effectively communicates difficult concepts in a clear and easily understood format to ensure all learning objectives are met. End result is clear and concise operations and maintenance manuals, technical service manuals, standard operating procedures and other documents as needed.
Developing comprehensive materials through specifications, interviews, product documentation, existing documentation and collaboration with subject matter experts and other key personnel.
Creating and maintaining technical manuals and user assistance documentation for software applications.
Collaborate with curriculum designers to contribute documentation and processes for all external customer training as well as all product training, both internal and external.
Managing changes to baseline requirements through the application of standard change control processes and tools.
Establishing and maintains all document control records.
Converting already existing documents into white pages and FAQ.
Required Experience
BS/BA in English, Communications, Adult Learning or other relevant field.
3 years of experience in technical writing and product documentation with solid experience in style guides and templates.
Experience using Flare.
Demonstrated ability to understand business work flow.
Demonstrated background of delivering strong customer service and developing materials with an end user focus.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Ability to multi task and handle multiple priority projects at a time.
Strong motivation and initiative.
Ability to partner well with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts
