Full-Time Instructional Designer (San Diego, CA)

Job Description

The Instructional Designer will design and develop interactive courseware for customer training. Ensures integrity of task analysis, training requirements, training hierarchies, instructional materials, and evaluation plans. Converts written materials and/or training requirements to interactive courseware. Develops flow diagrams and story-boards. Designs instructionally sound lessons in a variety of delivery media. Interacts with customer and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy of instructional content. Develops manuals, workbooks, and audio/video tapes and discs. May provide work leadership for lower level employees.
Develops the System Operator training curriculum and related training documentation of sufficient technical content to conduct the training required of fleet site personnel during the conduct of Development Test and Initial Operational Test and Evaluation. Uses the developmental system for the development of training curriculum. Provides the completed Training Documentation.  Provides status inputs to Weekly Status Report.
Must be a self-starter, independent. Provides guidance to lower level technical writer on team.
Qualifications
Candidates should have at least 2 years experience with a Bachelor’s Degree. Experience developing military training preferred, specifically DoN.
This position requires access to classified information. Candidates may be subject to a security investigation and must be able to meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a minimum of Secret clearance issued by the U.S. Government.
