Cameron has an immediate opening for an Instructional Designer/Developer. This position will be primarily focused on the design and development of instructor-led and web-based training materials for our Subsea Global Learning and Development group. Other responsibilities may include coordination of training programs and facilitation.
Responsibilities Effectively manages training development projects. Works with product line management, subject matter experts and team members to design, develop, and improve technical training courses. Evaluates and applies effective learning methodologies to improve learning based on audience needs assessment. Creates and optimizes various media file types for specific delivery environments. Assesses training needs using a blended approach including Instructor-led training, e-learning platforms, knowledge management systems, on-line support tools, and LMS Evaluates instruction and makes recommendations for improvement based on curriculum needs. Manage special projects as assigned. International travel up to 25%
Job Requirements/ Qualifications Required Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated expertise in the development of instructor-led training and e-learning, required. Strong project management skills. Completes projects on time and meets customer requirements to satisfaction. Results-oriented, self-disciplined, internally motivated and requires minimal supervision. Assesses training needs using a blended approach including Instructor-led training, e-learning platforms, knowledge management systems, on-line support tools, and LMS Works well in a team environment. Collaborates with others to generate ideas and improve processes. Knows how to follow and provides leadership as needed. Creative with good analytical and problem solving skills. Welcomes challenges and adapts well to change.
Additional/Preferred Skills Demonstrated expertise in the use of graphics/multimedia software, video editing software. Experienced multimedia designer with experience in the development of multimedia (graphics, instructional animations, video), preferably in the adult learning field. Designs and develops technical products integrating various media, such as graphics, still images, video, audio, animation, and 3-D models.
Education/Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Instructional Design, Training and Development, Human Resources or similar discipline. Master’s degree preferred. 2-5 years experience with the analysis, design, development and implementation of technical curriculum. Experience using computer-based tools in the development and delivery of learning and knowledge management projects a plus.
