Contract \ Contract-to-Hire Contract Technical Writer (Austin, TX)
Job Description
We are looking for a Contract Technical Writer for our client in Austin, Texas. The technical writer will interact directly with development, product management, and support teams to produce high-quality documentation for both new and existing systems.
Responsibilities:
* Research, write, edit, and produce high-quality user documentation (print and electronic formats)
* Create tutorials that help users effectively work with a wide variety of applications
Interact with developers, product owners, support team members, and senior management to obtain in-depth knowledge of client’s software
* Develop and refine client’s documentation standards, including content and formatting guidelines as well as success metrics
* Create diagrams and infographics
Requirements:
* At least 5 years of technical writing experience
* Some experience in the financial/trading industry (preferred)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly, concisely, and accurately
* Strong attention to detail, self-management, initiative, discipline, and follow-through
* Unrelenting dedication to customer success
* Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Writing, English, or another related field
Location: Onsite at our client’s facility in Austin, TX. Local candidates only.
