Full-Time Associate Technical Writer
Job Description
Personify is seeking a technical writer to develop and maintain customer-facing documents including, but not limited to, online help, video demonstrations and simulations, API reference and developer guides, product release notes, and client notifications.
In this position, you will plan, research, write, release, and maintain documentation for our enterprise application Personify360 Operations, e-Business, and Mobile deliverable including online/print and video-based content. You will work with our designers, developers, quality assurance engineers, product managers, internal consultants and others to understand the behavior and nuances of our products. You will be expected to become a subject matter expert in the technology, collaborate with customers, work directly with the product, and create conceptual and procedural documentation that is clear and accurate.

Candidates must possess excellent technical writing skills and the ability to manage and work independently on multiple concurrent projects of various sizes and topics in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
• Develop and edit documentation for both software products and hardware requirements
• Develop and edit end-user training materials for technical and non-technical audiences
• Conduct research and interview subject matter experts
• Develop content for print and online help mediums
• Conduct usability testing on existing documentation
• Become a subject matter expert on the use of the product
• Assist in development of new product requirements
• Produce, narrate, and edit video demonstrations and simulations
Requirements
• Passion for accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• 0-2 years of experience writing and delivering quality documentation for enterprise-class software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office a must
• Proficiency with Adobe RoboHelp a plus
• Familiarity with Adobe Captivate and experience with video-based documentation is desired
• Familiarity with .NET developer framework and SQL relational databases a plus
• Ability to handle multiple complex tasks
• Ability to quickly learn technologies supporting content creation and delivery
• BA/BS in Technical Communications, English, Journalism, Computer Science or related field
